| 鎏金不同于贴金，鎏金工艺是我国一种传统的金属工艺装饰技法。加热水银，将黄金溶于水银之中，形成金泥，涂于铜或银表面加温，使水银蒸发，金就付在器表面上，称之”鎏金”。汉代时称“金涂”或“黄涂”，唐代称“镀金”，近代称“火镀金”，这种技术在春秋战国时就出现了，至今有两千多年的历史。 Gilding is different from gilding.
