金铜佛造像用铜或青铜铸造,表面鎏金的可移动的佛教造像,间或亦指镀金锤鍱像。包括佛、菩萨、弟子、天王、力士、诸天等形象。在中国大体上是伴随着佛寺的兴盛而发达的,多供养在宫中或佛寺,流行的盛期大致在南北朝至唐代。它在印度起源较早。在中国佛教初传期多称金人,其后亦称金泥铜像。
Gold bronze Buddha statues are made of copper or bronze. The movable Buddhist statues with gilded surface sometimes refer to gilded hammers. It includes images of Buddha, Bodhisattva, disciple, king of heaven, Lishi and all the heavens. In China, it is generally developed with the prosperity of Buddhist temples, which are mostly provided in the palace or Buddhist temples. The popular peak period is from the southern and Northern Dynasties to the Tang Dynasty. It originated early in India. At the beginning of Chinese Buddhism, it was called Jin Ren, and later it was also called Jin Ni bronze statue.
